Dr Lore Schierlitz graduated from medical school at University of Duesseldorf, Germany.
She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Mercy Hospital for Women.
After working as a consultant for 3 years Lore decided to gain further expertise in Urogynaecology with completion of her fellowship training at Mercy Hospital for Women and Monash Medical Centre, which resulted in her ability to manage bladder and pelvic floor dysfunction including incontinence, utero-vaginal prolapse and sexual dysfunction with conservative and surgical approach.
She is currently the Head of Unit at the Mercy Hospital for Women.
Lore is a Certified Urogynaecologist (FRANZCOG, CU) and is experienced in advanced pelvic floor reconstruction.
Lore is actively involved in teaching medical students and doctors in training as well as research with multiple scientific publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
In the past she was the representative of Oceania on the international advisory board of the International Urogynecology Association (IUGA) , and worked as member in the subspecialty committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
